Time to Say Thank You

Today, I'd really love to thank the amazing people who have supported me in my mental health recovery and my return to blogging. I wouldn't be back to writing, creating, and rebuilding my life without these absolute angels, and they 100% deserve my eternal thanks and gratefulness. I am so blessed to have these people in my life, and so I'm singing from the rooftops about their wonderful creations and their wonderful selves!

Lydia // Lydia has been my cheerleader since my return to blogging and I am so lucky to have her. She's not known as 'the support bra of the internet' for nothing! She's recently written this brilliant blog post about bringing more positivity into her life, by expelling the negative, making more time for gratitude, and taking positive lessons from negative experiences. I'm so proud of Lydia and how wonderfully she's doing in all areas of her life, from her blog to confidently sharing her artwork, and tackling personal challenges and achievements. Lydia is a real-life wonderwoman and a true good egg.

Ellie // Ellie is my best friend, the sun to my moon, my partner in crime, my sister. She's done everything in her power to drag me back into the land of the living, from visiting me, taking me for lunch, letting me nap in her house for a change of scenery, giving me art lessons, and making me care packages. I can't even express how thankful I am to have her as my best friend. We've been joined at the hip for 7 years and she knows me inside and out, and always pushes me to be the best me I can. She makes absolutely fantastic art, and has been working really hard on making more, posting more, and taking on more commissions lately. I'm also really proud of her for sharing some of her traditional pieces along with her digital art, and getting out of her comfort zone. This traditional piece makes me smile so much, and I was lucky enough to see it in person before it was shared online!

Jemma // Jemma has been so bloody lovely to me since my return to blogging, and so brilliantly supportive. How she finds the time to spread so much love around the internet whilst making amazing artwork, running fabulous social media accounts, writing fabulous blog posts and growing a tiny human is beyond me! She's truly wonderful. She's recently written this uplifting post, sharing her positive thoughts on the future of blogging in a time where many people seem to feel doubtful. It's so refreshing to see someone feeling positive for the future of their blog, and the blogosphere in general and I'm so glad to hear that Dorkface isn't leaving us anytime soon!

Craig // Craig is a mental health angel. In fact, he's a billion kinds of angel. I am so blessed to know someone so beautifully open and loving and fascinating. Anyone who knows Craig is lucky. Craig makes absolutely wonderful videos, and I'd fully recommend a vlog like this one to get to know his bright, shining personality. I am so thankful to Craig for taking the time to offer me support and encouragement in opening up about my mental health, and making this new chapter in my life and my blogging journey feel so much easier.

Liselle // Liselle has been a rock to me in the tough times. Whenever I'm struggling she's there with gentle encouragement and wise words to remind me that all isn't lost, and that we can take positives from even the worst of times. Liselle is one of the most hardworking people I know, with so many unbelievable talents. Her perception of colour is like no other, and her animal portraiture is truly enchanting. She's recently opened up a physical sale space, which you can peep at here, and I am so proud of her!

Codie // Codie is, and always has been, my hero. From the moment I met her as a nervous lil' fresher, I've hoped to be just like her when I grow up! I'm so lucky to have watched her grow from badass student to badass career woman, wife, and soon to be badass mum. I truly believe there's no challenge too big for Codie, and she can do anything she wants to. I've never met someone so hardworking, dedicated, passionate, and loving. She's just published this brilliant post about her journey to bossing it in the freelance world, packed with tips on how you can too! I'm so thankful to Codie for giving me some tips about freelance life and for checking in with me and lifting me up when things have been difficult. She truly is a superhero and if I end up half as brilliant as her, I'll be happy.

Nicole // Nicole is a mental illness and fibromyalgia warrior, beauty addict, and brilliant blogger. From the moment I mentioned my chronic pain struggles online, she jumped to offer support, advice, and a positive outlook for me. I am so thankful that she took the time to reach out to me. Nicole's blog is absolutely brilliant, and she bravely shares and speaks out about deeply personal aspects of her life. She's a smasher of stigma and makes sure no-one ever feels alone. This blog post of hers is so lovely, where she shares the good things in life. It's an uplifting read and a great reminder to always appreciate the little things.

Once again, I can not thank these beautiful, talented, hardworking, amazing, supportive people enough, nor can I express how priviliged I am to know them. I hope this blog post goes a little way to expressing my gratitude and love for them. Who are you thankful for? I'd love to hear about your personal heroes!
